depends on the ftpd you installed.

Normally ftpd is started through inetd or xinetd, so check the config files
for these first

In case ftpd is installed in standalone mode you should find a matching file
in the /etc/rc.d/init.d (unfortunately I'm a huge fan of pureftpd so I don't
have a clue which ftpd is standard at redhat but you should either find a
proftpd or wu-ftpd on your system)
