I have a fujitsu hdd MPE3084AE , and it`s mounted in a PC that support SMART
capabilities.

Some days ago, the PCīs BIOS setup reported a "S.M.A.R.T fail " at startup.

Obviosly a something wrong happened with the disk while it was working!!!
And this message indicate my disk is not OK and it should be replaced by
other one !!! thatīs right. BUT NOW I really need avoid the disk show this
warning every one it start up!!!

How I can "clean" or "reset" or "flush" the SMARTīs log ???
I tried with tools from fujitsu, seagate , ibm, maxtor, ontrack, other , but
nothing!!!!

Apropos, with the Linuxīs distribution come some tool to check SMART ?

excuse me about my bad english
