Hello all,

I'm in the process of muddling thru setting up a LAN server for
SMTP/IMAP access. I decided to go w/ postfix for the MTA, and am
curious about whether to go w/ Cyrus or Courier for the IMAP server.

I had originally leaned towards Cyrus, as there seems to be a fair bit
of docs out there for Postfix+Cyrus, but now I'm a little unsure. Part
of the reason I'm wanting to setup IMAP access it to allow shared access
to some mailing list archives, which could get rather large over time.
Is this a situation where the Maildir/ behaviour of Courier would make
it a better choice? How much more difficult is it to set up than Cyrus?
Any other oddities? I know I've seen some disagreement btwn the
maintainer of Courier and Marc Crispin, the maintainer of UW-IMAP and
the IMAP standard, on comp.mail.imap.

TIA,

Monte
