I am using RH7.2 with kernel-2.9.18.

This I do not know why it is there: Apr 23 13:22:08 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-81 I think that char-major-81 is related to video tv ... I have just put an "alias char-major-81 off" in /etc/modules.conf to see if I get rid of it. Third, which options do I need to turn on in the kernel so that the computer powers off automatically? It use to do it with RH kernels by default.
