When I finally got X
Windows running for the first time, I was getting an error about the host name
that my dhcp server was providing being unknown. Furthermore the error
suggested that this might cause internet problems. As suggested, I put the
hostname in the /etc/hosts file, and Gnome boots up flawlessly
now.
Unfortunately a new
side effect has begun happening; sendmail takes forever to give me the '[OK]' on
bootup.
Any
suggestions?
