There is another VPN package that is simple to setup and works well for me
in my limited need situation.  It was considerably simpler to configure
than either FreeSWAN or Cipe appeared to be.  It's called "vpnd" and is
available from http://sunsite.dk/vpnd.  I've used it for about two years
with very few problems and excellent performance.
