This is what I would do, first make a linux boot disk, see the howto if
you don't know how, then boot using it and run this command if you can '
e2fsck -p /dev/hda3 . Please make sure any partitions are unmounted
before running this command. You might have bad blocks on you hard drive
somewhere.

Subject: !!!!!!!!!!!!Server Hangs-Up after reboot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys, i am facing a very unique problem. I am running RedHat Linux
7.2 on
Compaq Proliant 5500 with Quad Proc and 2 GB RAM. We are running the
following services on the linux box.
i)Sendmail
ii)Bind 9
iii)Samba
iv)PAM
v)ypbind
vi)POP
vii)SMTP
viii)PPP

The problem is that last night my servers have a improper shutdown due
to
power failure. When in the morning we came and find it in the freez
condition. When we reboot it, it runs fsck (check disk)and boots up
properly. Its works normally for a few secs and again freez/Hang. We are

facing this problem second time last time we face the same problem when
we
are running the RedHat Linux 6.2. We check all messages but we didn't
find
any error there. May be some liberary module corrupted. We also run the
upgrade of 7.2 and try to boot in Linux Single mode but the problem
remains
the same and it freez in linux single mode.

If anybody have any solution please reply me.

Thanx
