I picked up an ATI TV Wonder card (not the VE or USB version) not to long 
ago and have used it without any problem under Redhat 7.2. I used the 
Xawtv package and it seemed fine.  The white-balance on the card is pretty 
pathetique, but it does the same thing under Windows using the ATI 
software, so I know it's not a linux problem.  As long as there isnt a lot 
of white in the picture, it does a decent job.

I got mine on ebay for around $60 I think, and that was "New in box!"

Oh and it did take a little Xawtv fine-tuning to get it going, but nothing 
major.
