Finally got through the dependency issues by installing the rpm updates first.
However, I tried to install the kernel updates after everything else and I go this on the kernel. [root@mchn3 /etc]# up2date --update kernel kernel-2.4.9-31.i386.rpm: ########################## Done. Preparing... ########################################### [100%] 1:kernel ########################################### [100%] /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.32605: line 5: 24557 Segmentation fault (core dumped) /usr/sbin/module_upgrade /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.81720: line 1: 24692 Segmentation fault (core dumped) /usr/sbin/module_upgrade [root@mchn3 /etc]# Aanyone experienced this before?? But... When I erase the bad kernel update "rpm -e kernel" I get this. [root@mchn3 updates]# rpm -e kernel-2.4.9-31 error: cannot open Dirnames index using db3 - No such file or directory (2) error: cannot open Requireversion index using db3 - No such file or directory (2) error: cannot open Provideversion index using db3 - No such file or directory (2) error: cannot open Installtid index using db3 - No such file or directory (2) error: cannot open Sigmd5 index using db3 - No such file or directory (2) error: cannot open Sha1header index using db3 - No such file or directory (2) error: cannot open Filemd5s index using db3 - No such file or directory (2) -- robert canary system services OhioCounty.Net [EMAIL PROTECTED] (270)298-9331 Office (270)298-7449 Fax _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
