If you are looking for system load monitors, that's a different deal.
There are "eleventy-million" of those. :)  My current favorite is
gkrellm.  I used to run a combination of xload, pload, xcpustate, and
xclock.  But those combined took up as much memory as gkrellm by
itself, so I switched.  There're also xsysinfo and xosview.  Those are
just the ones I have installed on my system, but a search on freshmeat
will turn up more I'm sure.
