I have been doing that for about three years now. I run a wirless ISP. Blows DSL and Sat right out the waves.
Subscribe to the isp-wireless mailing list. You'll find all sorts of good help. I would recommend FH for roaming but thats my opinion. DS will go 10Meg were FH is about 1.9Meg, but FH is more stable. So there are trade offs in the technlogy. I can generally roam around town with my laptop and be on the internet in about 17miles of the access point.
