Hi.
I-ve just installed a secondary NIC. I was promped
from my redhat 7.2 if I want to migrate the settings
from my first eth0 card which I answered yes to.So all
works fine. My old etho has become eth1 and my new
realtech 8139 has become eth0. I want etho to connect
to my adsl modem and eth1 to the hub for my subnet.
Now the question is. It was always nessassary to
perform a modprobe on my old card 3c509 before I found
out I could add this line in rc.local. But now I try
to perform a modprobe at my new rtl8139, but the
module was not found. The question is if I now had to
perform a modprobe to that card after I now have
rebooted to get internet working, or is this
automaticly done when I migrated the card. If I had to
modprobe then I suppose I must compile the driver that
was supported by the card?
