If not using faxgetting, you must type in the command, on the command line, modem ttyS1 to tell Hylafax what modem to send on.. The only other thing I can think of what command line variables, that is what do you type when you send a fax? My command to send a fax is: sendfax -n -D -d 13125551212 /home/myname/file.ps See man sendfax. the -n means no fax cover sheet, -D means send me email if fax went through okay, and the -d is the command for the phone number you want to send to... It must be in this order... especially with the -d.
