hi , if you'r sure of the setting during the anaconda part then you can just go to the /etc/X11 directory ..or it may also be /usr/X11R6/lib/X11 or in /usr/X11R6/etc/X11 locate file XF86Config and try editng it ...put the values for the no. of colors and 800 x 600 resolution ...be sure to back up the earlier file .... may be you can read some documentations also ..
