This is non-trivial... wu-ftpd uses the system authentication mechanisms, so you need to start by providing those services to both systems. You then need a common file system and if you're thinking of having the file system local to each of your two servers, you're going to run into serious timing issues very quickly. I'd suggest you look at Red Hat's High Availability product - there is a new release in beta now called pensacola. I believe that this product will not be free when it ships, so you have to decide if the advantages you get outweigh the costs.
