I could not find the setup file either, but after playing around, and 
clicking on things, I found that when I clicked on 
/mnt/cdrom/english/so-5_2-ga-bin-linux-en.bin
The setup started. No chmod or anything.  I was logged in as root.

Just my exsperience .
