I have RH7.2 and a canon bjc6000 printer. It does a great job printing pictures with gimp, but I can't get it to print text.
I set it up with printconf-gui, it showed me a bjc6000 driver which I selected. Hit "apply" and then test. Popup box said "sent test page to printer," but the printer was silent. Same thing with lpr test2.txt. No response from the printer.
