ack.. use dd. Don't cat an image to a device. That's just gross. I 
wouldn't even expect it to work :)

2.4.19 hasn't been released yet. As noted, it's in pre-release stages. If 
it don't boot.. whatever. Pre-release kernels aren't guaranteed to do 
anything, really :)
