Ragnar Wisløff, On Tuesday 12 February 2002 09:15, you said something about: > I've been investigating the spread of KDE setup/config files under RHL 7.2. > > Does anyone know > > why there is a /etc/X11/applnk/ directory that get some menus while others > are placed in /usr/share/applnk/? How to decide what goes where?
/etc/X11/applnk seems to be just "X" apps that are not specific to a desktop environment. /usr/share/applnk is for the KDE specific set of links. > pointers to documentation on the function, placing and contents of setup > files for KDE2/RHL? Good luck on that one. If you find something, let me know. I think the development of KDE is far outpacing anyone's ability to document it. -- Brian Ashe CTO Dee-Web Software Services, LLC.
