I have linux 7.1, I use uname -r to find out that the kernel version is 2.4.4-2. I downloaded the 2.4.9-21 code . I use make and make dep to make it. But After than I find when I use -uname -r, i still get 2.4.4-2. It did not change. How can upgrade my linux kernel.
