Dual Boot WinXP/RedHat Linux 7.2 on Sony Vaio Notebook

I recently bought a  Sony Vaio Notebook (P-III) preinstalled Win Xp, with C: (Fat32) and D:(NTFS) partitions. I do not have a Win XP CD, but only a Sony Recovery CD and it does not let me delete the D: partition (with Fdisk).   How do I install Linux on this Laptop, I want to have Windows XP on the other partition.   Nipun
