I've done this here for some time and it works well. My webserver is on the internal network with a private ip address. - From outside, the firewall NAT rules pass the traffic with no problem. Internally, however, trying to connect to www.tuxfan.homeip.net would fail. In /etc/hosts, I had this line: 192.168.0.8 enigma.local enigma I added this line: 192.168.0.8 www.tuxfan.homeip.net enigma I could have done it via the firewall or my internal dns as well, I suppose, but this was quick and easy. - -D - -- pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/pgpkey.txt - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8SO7zeMAUbzJhSVcRAnx8AJ9TVpwEjI5YfjaE9YvY1AU9kImiCQCgtzv/ xXBCdncv7o/LxW4xEu0KIcg= =bn9d -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
