Problems with pop3, imap and telnet which seem to have been related to DNS queries have all gone away today, 24 hours after appearing. But why? What caused them, what cured them?
ISTM that DNS was being like *really* slow in responding, which could be caused by -- excess traffic? bad routing table somewhere? DOS attack on DNS servers? dreaded "linux virus"? Messages to this forum re slow pops come from all over the place, not just one ISP domain. There were a couple of complaints in comp.mail.sendmail, these also from folks running RedHat. Do we have a RedHat issue here? I'm curious... ----- Tom Bentley [EMAIL PROTECTED] 802-872-5525 _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
