Hello Gabriel, I don't know if your having the same problem I was having, but there's something about the USERID (AUTH) setting for resolving the IP addresses to host names feature that is typically used for logging purposes. I think it has something to do with this name resolution thing and one of my ipchains firewalls. The solution for me was to comment out the lines in my cvspserver and wu-ftp configuration files for xinetd. But then I'm using xinetd and although it's a little different the issue might be the same.
