Hi Neo, i only did this with LILO but i think there are similar steps to follow.
Have a look at those URLS. [1] http://www.13thfloor.at/Software/lilo-splash/Example/ [2] http://www.heise.de/ct/ftp/projekte/splashscreen/pcx2lilo.tgz The second one is a program which converts the specified xpm file into a lilo capable splashscreen. But you have to consider the restriction the original image has to fulfill such as resolution of 320x200 and maximum filesize of 64K. Remember those worked for me with LILO. Don't know how far it will work for grub.
