It works, but it requires support from your ISP.  Find out if your ISP 
supports multilink connections, and how much they charge.  It's normally 
just another full dial up charge, worst case.

If it does, you'll need the EQL tool to configure the kernel's channel 
bonding.  It took me forever to find.  I have a copy here:

I haven't tried building it under Linux 2.4.  I had to patch it to make it 
work under 2.2.  I've used it extensively (which is to say, successfully) 
under 2.2 when I worked for an ISP that supported multilink connections.
