The easiest way is to filter it out. I use mailfilter (frehemat for one)
to check mail before I download it and delete certain addreeses and/or
keywords in the subject.

A more agressive approach (one I use for many that slip past my filters)
is to track them down, do a whois to make sure I have all of the
information, send an email to the postmaster and any administrative
contact, and warn them that next time, and each subsequent, will cost
$50. I've only had two press the issue so far. One is up to $200 and the
other stopped at $50. Both have been sent bills. Whichever fails to pay
after 30 days will find they have to show up in small claims court and
win, or they'll lose and we can proceed from there.

The second one is a little more work. But, the above instances are the
only times that the first warning hasn't scared them away. It's worth
the trouble to me, though I don't use that method in every instance and
some take a lot more work than others. Basically I apply it when I get
in the mood. Currently I'm in the mood and have been for about a month.

My spam is a lot lower than it used to be, even when I stop mailfilter
for awhile and see exactly where I stand.

Still, if just not getting it and wading through it is what you want,
filtering is great. And preemptive filtering (deleting it without having
to download it in the first place) can't be beat.--
It's not a bug, it's tradition!
