I'm trying to setup a network interface on a
freshly installed copy of RH 7.1 (standard boxed version). I've got a DSL
modem connected to a NetGear RT314 router (it doubles as a DHCP
server). I've tried using the network applet of the 'control-panel' and the
'netconfig' command. However, using either command, I get the message "Bringing
up eth0: Delaying eth0 initalization [FAILED]" on boot ( I also get the
"Delaying..." message on the console window used to run 'conrol-panel'). I
believe the drivers for my NIC are not properly installed because running the
command '/sbin/lspci' returnes the line "00:0a.0 Ethernet controller: National
Semiconductor Corporation: Unkonw device". Does anyone know how I can get this
working?
