I see here in my XF86Config (after Font Path - truetype - change):

# Multiple FontPath entries are allowed (they are concatenated together)
# By default, Red Hat 6.0 and later now use a font server independent of
# the X server to render fonts.

# FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType"
# FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype"
    FontPath "unix/:-1"

see the line:
FontPath "unix/:-1"
?

OK, now shutting down X and restarting it in a minute ... let's see
what happens ... [after X restart:] no, everything seems to be OK ..

Thanks again.

Regards
Wolfgang
