OK, I used this and found that I currently have "glibc-2.2.4-19 i386"
installed. In my /var/spool/up2date I find the file
glibc-2.2.4-19.3.i686.hdr. This means that up2date is wanting to install
i686 (Pentium 2 ?) packages on my system even though I have just a regular
Pentium? Should it be installing i686 packages, i.e. should I somehow
confirm/force the architecture switch or should I run on i386 packages?

I suppose one good way is to do like the other post suggested and install it
manually. Would be good to know why I got this error in the first place
though. This system has been upgraded from 6.2 and the 6.2 might have been
an upgrade from 6.0 or 5.2. Maybe that is why.

Andreas
