Michael,

Making that change got me part of the way there. It allowed the LILO menu to
come up on reboot and I was able to boot into Linux fine. When I tried to
boot into Win2k, however, I got the message
"Loading win
Invalid system disk
Replace the disk, and then press any key"

I took another look at my lilo.conf file and changed the line
"other=/dev/hda2" to "other=/dev/hda1" above the option for windows (since
Win2k is installed on the first parition of the drive).....and it worked! I
can now dual boot into Linux/Win2k with LILO. Huzzah!

Thanks for your help, and to the others on the list who offered assistance.
Now it's off to see what else I can screw up. :)

Chris
