Michael, Making that change got me part of the way there. It allowed the LILO menu to come up on reboot and I was able to boot into Linux fine. When I tried to boot into Win2k, however, I got the message "Loading win Invalid system disk Replace the disk, and then press any key"
I took another look at my lilo.conf file and changed the line "other=/dev/hda2" to "other=/dev/hda1" above the option for windows (since Win2k is installed on the first parition of the drive).....and it worked! I can now dual boot into Linux/Win2k with LILO. Huzzah! Thanks for your help, and to the others on the list who offered assistance. Now it's off to see what else I can screw up. :) Chris > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael Scottaline [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, December 13, 2001 12:14 PM > To: Chris Montgomery > Subject: Re: After Install of RH7.1, No LILOt > > > On Thu, 13 Dec 2001 12:04:29 -0600 > "Chris Montgomery" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Ok, after logging in as root and running lilo, it did add the two > options > > (linux * and win).
