It depends on the dependencies. You're far more likely to have problems with libc or rpm than you are with the kernel. This is for my 7.2 system: [ewilts@linux1 ewilts]$ rpm -q openssh openssh-2.9p2-1 [ewilts@linux1 ewilts]$ rpm -q openssh --requires rpmlib(VersionedDependencies) <= 3.0.3-1 initscripts >= 5.20 rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1 rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1 ld-linux.so.2 libcrypto.so.2 libc.so.6 libdl.so.2 libnsl.so.1 libpam.so.0 libutil.so.1 libz.so.1 libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2) .../ed -- Ed Wilts, Mounds View, MN, USA mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
