I am putting a box together on Soyo K7VTA Pro (Dragon is K7V) with Athlon 900Mhz and RH standart installation will not work what so ever. I haven't tried the newer Athlon, but I did heard some rumor that some old Athlon doesn work with kernel 2.4.7
I get it working by installing RH, then compiling newest kernel using the rescue disk. It's running like a charm after that. The on board sound works fine, I don't have onboard nic. I would say that it is a good motherboard but you may have to go through a difficult instalation.
