"Deprecated" means that something is obsolete and shouldn't be used anymore. Everyone is using dig and host now adays. I don't agree with nslookup being deprecated, personally. There's no utility that does what it has always done. It's interactive. It's been part of the BSD standard for a long time. While Linux may be GNU based, much of it's internal layout (especially networking) and many of its utilities' layout can be credited to BSD. - -Statux -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: pgpenvelope 2.10.2 - http://pgpenvelope.sourceforge.net/ iD8DBQE8BSJ9ZriHHoi+4toRAiwsAJ0ctic3HTH5KF3qcG8f6C8xKLvDbACglFex Te2cE9K5sOFHrHxkkdQak2w= =yiBa -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
