I just noticed today (I'm not sure when it started, actually) that I'm
getting the following in the output of 'ls':

ls: .fetchmail.pid: Input/output error

I get the same results whether I'm a user or root. It's happening in a
user's directory on this system. The 'stat' command doesn't work either.
Attempting to remove it causes the same i/o error.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it possible filesystem corruption? I just
had the partition checked yesterday or the day before and there were no
problems. It's possible this started in the last 24 hours and I didn't
notice it until now.

Ideas? Thanks.
