I'll differ strongly on the above. You _CAN_ remove 'news' But, first
you need to add a news entry and make it the default. After that 'news'
will be quite happy to disappear if you tell it to do so.

I no longer use NS, but I have it installed, have no 'news' entry in it
and have a news-related server in its place.
