Hi Tammy, (Redhat 7.2)
Thanks for your advice. At 03:53 PM 11/16/2001 -0500, you wrote: >If you have a broadband connection in Linux, Konquerer should >automatically be able to connect to the Internet. When start Linux, broadband should be automatically connected. I have another PC running Mandrake 8.1 it makes automatic connection. In Konsole Window typing /sbin/ifconfig, it prompted eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:50:FC:41:BC:E6 inet addr:210.3.34.97 Bcast:210.3.35.255 Mask:255.255.252.0 UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS RUNNING MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:110 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:2 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:100 RX bytes:6882 (6.7 Kb) TX bytes:650 (650.0 b) Interrupt:11 Base address:0xf000 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:176 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:176 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:11616 (11.3 Kb) TX bytes:11616 (11.3 Kb) But I could not make neither Konqueror nor Netscape Communicator connected to internet. I tried to configure Konqueror under Setting but could not find a solution. What is the trick ? Thanks in advance. B.R.
