The DC-390U3W DOES work on RH 7.1: It is just hard to INSTALL RH 7.1 using a DC-390U3W SCSI card. (I had to get a 'special' RH 7.0 driver image and use it during the RH 7.1 install.) After RH 7.1 was installed it was easy to build a new kernel with the SYM53C8XX driver which supports the DC-390U3W.
