Okay, I did a dumb thing. I was playing with 'neat' the RH network administration tool in 7.2 and I deleted the eth0 and eth1 devices. Now trying to use the same tool to rebuild them and I can't make it work. The two Intel express boards are reported under the hardware tab, but when I use the 'add' choice in the devices tab, I never get a live 'okay' button.
