Hello Good People:
Does anyone have a Kingston KNE110TX nic working in RH 7.0? Do you have
any suggestions that would help me access it in RH 7.0?
This nic was supplied with my DSL modem and works good in Windows. I am
attempting to get DSL working in RH 7.0 and the problem seems to stem
from accessing this nic. I have noticed that this nic also shares the
same network address and irq as the network nic. The only error I get
when trying to establish a DSL connection is TIMEOUT when I run
dsl-start. This is after booting Windows and establishing a DSL
connection to verify that DSL and the modem are working correctly and
rebooting to RH to attempt to establish a DSL connection.
I have found a driver compatible to RH 6.2 but when attempting to
install the .rpm, it resulted in several conflicts and errors.
Once the nic access problem is resolved, I think I can get DSL working
in RH since everything else seems to be installed and working correctly.
Once I get DSL working, I can finally upgrade the generic RH install.
