my .02 cents
with those addresses and that sub-net mask I don't think you can route in
this config as both adapters are on the same IP network and correctly would
have the same gateways to remote networks.. make eth1 192.168.X.X or any
other address on any other IP network and your routing table will make more
sense.
Also if you really are plugged into a hub and not a switch with spanning
tree turned on? if it is in fact a switch one of the two ports could be in
blocking mode as I think you might have what would look like a topology loop
to spanning tree.
anyone care to comment.. its late here and i might be wrong :)
