Remember to run lilo after adding this line right after linear statement
for it to take effect.

Can you give us some details on the hardware involved? Generally speaking,
only
certain "wierd" systems have this problem, and it's generally solved by
adding
a line to your /etc/lilo.conf to tell the system how much ram you have,
similar
to:
append='mem=288M'
