Running a server (apache) without a good reason is not a good idea.  Apache 
is a web server--it allows others to view web pages that you have installed 
on your computer.  A general rule of linux is if you don't need a service, 
don't install it (it is very easy to install later and you don't have to go 
through endless reboots <g>)
