I have a couple of books that I have been reading to try to learn php
better. Information for the book I referred to, "Web application
development with PHP 4.0," is at
http://www.newriders.com/books/title.cfm?isbn=0735709971, but you may
also want to look at "Professional PHP Programming," by Wrox Press
(http://www.wrox.com/Books/Book_Details.asp?
section=11_3&isbn=1861002963&subject=&subject_id=).

In my opinion the second book is better served as a desk reference
focusing more on the language itself while the first book I mentioned
focuses on good design practices. Don't take my word for it however
look on amazon, bn or borders and see what the reviewers have to say
for a better idea about the books.

Chad
