http://www.sendmail.org has a lot of warnings IN LARGE LETTERS that you
should not use Linuxconf to configure sendmail as its sendmail module is
completely broken. You should remove the sendmail module form linuxconf
entirely and configure sendmail by itself (or with Webmin, for example).
