Hi.
I upgraded to Red Hat Linux 7.1 yesterday on my work laptop. While the O/S
indeed looks clean (tightened init scripts etc) I've been having some nasty
X related problems.
My laptop (Toshiba Portege 3440CT) carries a Savage/MX videocard. I am using
the Savage X driver with XFree86 4.0.3.
Everything is rather smooth, but when I fire up StarOffice the X process
starts using 99% CPU and 4 times out of 5 kills the network connection
(eepro100).
I'm at loss, is anyone having similar experiences?
