Try changing the order you create the partitions. Create a 16MB /boot
partition as the first partition, and then your larger partitions. That
way, you are sure /boot is on the part of the drive readable by the
BIOS. (This is the reasion for having a seperate /boot partition.)

It is a python message from the installer. I do not know python, but it
basicly means that the installed died with an error it did not know how
to handle.

If putting the /boot partition on the first part of the disk does not
work, let us know, and we can try something else. But I think that will
fix your problem.
