To clarify my question...I am wanting to know if there are linux drivers
for phoneline adapters. Apparently, I was fairly clear since someone was
able to deduce what I was speaking of. I am not speaking of generic 'phone
adapters' that you would get at radio shack (even though i would be hard
pressed to find any phone adapter at radio shack that has Win32 drivers.)
I think they are officially called 'homeline pna adapters' or something to
that effect. Of the phoneline adapters, there are PCI cards, USB adapters,
and an ethernet-to-phoneline transceiver. I am only interested in the PCI
cards. At first glance, they resemble PCI modems.
I am aware of cards made by 3com, Netgear, and Linksys, and I am aware that
they have Win32 drivers (the packaged software with the 3com is actually
written by microsoft).
Any information that anyone can provide regarding availability of linux
drivers for these devices would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
