Whoops, sorry, I see that the cnet article is where I should have
started (I did miss that link the first time). It's still not clear
to me how we're distinguishing Linux server deployments from
workstation deployments ... given The Register's point that Windows
unit totals are aggregated, it's important to know if that 1.6 million
Linux units is really just server-class deployments. According to
cnet, that figure is "25 percent of the 5.4 million total copies of
operating system software", which sounds to me like they're not
distinguishing deployment classes at all, which would seem to weaken
The Register's argument, wouldn't it?
