Thanks for the suggestion. I upgraded my Samba files using the RPMs in the
Fisher BETA (version 7.0.90 I believe). The CHANGELOG indicated that the
code had been compiled for LFS, so I was encouraged that I was going down
the right path. Unfortunately, I only saw a small improvement. Whereas
before I could not see a large file at all (the file is 16GB in size), now I
could see the file but it was only reported as 3.99GB in size. Copying the
file to a Windows 2000 system failed after 3.99GB and I could not create a
new file on the Samba share larger than 3.99GB from the Windows system.
Would you know what needs to be changed on the Samba configuration to allow
a larger file size? It looks like I'll have to go to the source to get this
one to work.
